Renovations and Upgrades

A New Chapter For The Chapter House

The past several months have been full of activity at the chapter house. After the major flooding that occurred on Christmas Eve 2022 and dealing with the insurance company, we have finally been able to put the house back together again and make improvements.

Both the second and third bathrooms on the original side of the house have been completely redone. Both bathrooms had to be torn down to the studs and then built back up again. The open group showers have now been replaced with more modern tiled stalls. In addition to the bathrooms, the flooring has been completely redone on both the second and third floors. Gone are the “reddish” vinyl floors which have been replaced by upgraded LVT flooring.

These are the biggest physical changes in the house but for the guys, having their dining room / living back and not having to deal with construction workers on a daily basis is probably the best part.

If you didn’t get a chance to attend the open house during Homecoming, please stop by the chapter house anytime to take a look around at these changes.

Even after these upgrades, the house is still in need of some major renovations to bring it up to the standards shown at other fraternities and Butler on-campus accommodations. The House Corporation is at the tail end of working with the Phi Psi Foundation on a feasibility study to gauge the alumni support for a future project. Please be on the lookout for a call, letter, or e-mail asking for your input.
